Children’s Programs
I’ve entertained children all over the United States and Canada as a Children’s Humorist for over 25 years. I love visiting kids in schools and libraries and share stories, musical activities, poetry and wordplay, and even a library rap or two. I usually manage to book a few gigs each month around my university teaching schedule. Each program is 45 minutes in length and is highly participative. Workshops and Conference Programs
I work with librarians and teachers to make literature come alive for children based on ideas from my books and articles. I usually focus on sharing humor with children and their families. A typical presentation is a smorgasbord of practical, ready-to-use stories, songs, movement activities, creative dramatics, poetry and wordplay that have worked for me the last two decades. I have presented workshops and conference programs in all the states listed at right. I have also spoken in Canada on several occasions.
